A letter from our Principal
Dear Students and Families,
Welcome to our 2022-2023 school year! I hope everyone enjoyed a relaxing summer and ready to start a great year. I am honored to be your principal at Sunset Hills Elementary and look forward to a successful school year. The return of students and staff brings the promise of new and meaningful relationships and shared learning experiences that offer great rewards. We will work hard to help your child enjoy their learning experience!
We have an amazing staff here at Sunset Hills Elementary and we can’t wait to work with your child. Our great team of teachers will work hard at creating lessons that are engaging for our students. Our goal is to provide the very best elementary experience for your child where you may have the peace of mind knowing your child is continually growing and learning and is very well cared for.
We believe students need to be active participants in learning, that is why we started a “Makerspace” class at Sunset Hills Elementary. This is a place where students learn by doing. Our Makerspace class is a great place to help students learn to explore, create, collaborate and where they learn to code computers. The students really enjoy this class.
Parents, I look forward to working with you this year. Together we can help build a safe, fun environment that will enable our students to reach their full potential.
As your principal, it is important to me that everyone who walks through our doors- teachers, students, and parents, are excited to be here. This encouraging attitude will help us to work together as a team in the educational process and encourage you to stay connected over the coming weeks and months.
